Biography

Roger Romeo Oachs was born on a farm five miles northwest of Mankato. He was the fifteenth child of sixteen children born to William and Minnie (Ward) Oachs. He moved with his family to 801 West 5^th Street in Mankato and lived there for twenty years.

Roger married Gloria Rosin on June 15, 1952. Roger enlisted in the Army on December 2, 1952 and served in the Korean War.  He was discharged on December 4, 1954. Roger was employed by the North Star Concrete Plant in Mankato.
