Biography

Willis Avery Oachs was born in Sterling Township, Minnesota.  He was the fourteenth child of sixteen children born to William and Minnie (Ward) Oachs.  Willis was a combat engineer in the Korean War from December 1950 to September 1952.

Willis married Marlene Westburg on March 22, 1952. They have seven children.

One son, Dana Lee Oachs was killed in a car accident on June 6, 1975 at the age of 16 years old.
